The Yearning was another portrait of Samantha O'Reilly and one of the first paintings I did at the ashram.

We all know the expression - yearning for the moon. That was Samantha all over. Her dreams seemed impossible. The scale of her dreams knew no limit. Obstacles that seemed impossible to get around, she simply handed over to god and was presented with a solution usually a few days later.

 

 

Though the moon hasn't come down for her yet, she still yearns with all the angst and desperate passion she is capable of.
