Visionary Art
STORY

The Stream is the only painting who's unique technique of creation I am willing to reveal to give you a taste of how unusual some of my techniques are. I can reveal it because this is the only painting I used this technique on.

I had finished the abstract part of this paintings creation, had brought it out to the shed at the ashram to dry and was admiring the finished product. It was raining that day. Suddenly, the roof of the shed just caved in - splashing a great wad of water on the painting.

By this time I had begun to learn that this is one way whatever is "out there" reveals itself and actively engages in our lives (through coincidence - doesn't break any of the laws of physics, gives plausable deniability to any atheists out there so it's non-threatening, yet it is very effective) so rather than go ballistic, I calmly thanked Her and began watching Her create the delicate textures in the painting.

I was so delighted with them that I took the wet painting out into the rain, held it up to the sky and danced with it - invoking my goddess to further take part in it's creation.

That's what made all the delicate rivelettes and water textures in the painting.

So that is one of the many original techniques I have - accepting coincidence as a practical art tool ... only one example of which is dancing in the rain to create art.
